Abstract
The conceptual design of a dual-mixer stability analyzer for the Deep Space Network is described. A bound for the mean-square common-source phase error is given as a function of the power spectrum of the ofiset source and the response of the lowpass mixing filter. A derivation of the result is given in two appendices.
