Abstract
A configuration for recording the telemetry IF output of an open-loop receiver and reproducing the data at minimal loss, incorporating a digital time-jitter compensator on playback is described. Results of tests performed at CTA 21 in a DSNcompatible environment show a total system degradation of less than 0.5 dB (ST,/N,) at bit rates as low as 16 bps and over a range from — 2 to 9 dB (ST;/N,).
