Abstract
This article reports the results of RF compatibility tests with the first Viking Flight Orbiter, Lander, and Spacecraft at the Spacecraft Compatibility/ Monitor Station, Merritt Island, Florida (STDN(MIL 71)) in January and February 1975. It also includes the status of the continuing series of mission configuration tests and operational training tests being conducted throughout the DSN, as well as a report on a series of data system compatibility tests involving the flight spacecraft on the launch pad at the Cape, STDN (MIL 71), and the Viking Mission Control and Computing Center at JPL, Pasadena.
