Abstract

This article presents the results of a study to correlate the results of zero-delay subreflector tests with the multipath theory. Good agreement between theory and experiment was obtained on both S-band range and signal level data at DSS 43, DSS. 68, and DSS 14. It is shown that a movable subreflector technique can be used to isolate the principal multipath errors and enable a more accurate determination of the actual ground station delay.
