Abstract
The operation and results of the Block I VLBI system for clock synchronization and platform parameter determination are described. The history of system performance from July 1980 to August 1981 is given. The steps in producing clock syne and platform parameters are outlined. It is shown that the VLBI data provide useful monitoring of the Deep Space Network Frequency and Timing System performance and earth orientation.
