Abstract
This report explains the procedure used by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to select and recommend frequencies to be used for deep-space telecommunications. Recommendations are tnade for missions conducted by the United States and also for other countries or organizations upon request. The report was prepared for the October 1981 meeting of the Space Frequency Coordination Group, held at Oberpfaffenhofen, Federal Republic of Germany, The group included representatives from ten countries and three international organizations, all interested in frequency management issues related to space research.
