Abstract

Results of covariance analyses are presented for the determination of baseline vectors of length from 150m to 4000 km. The data are doubly differenced ranges derived from the signals transmitted by the satellites of the Global Positioning System. The modeling of various error sources is described. The results indicate the low-cost baseline determination system is capable of sub-decimeter accuracy for baselines up to 1000 km in length.
