Abstract
Magnetic refrigeration is being developed to determine whether it may be used as an alternative to the Joule-Thomson circuit of a closed cycle refrigerator for providing 4 K refrigeration. An engineering model 4-15 K magnetic refirgerator has been designed and is being fabricated. This article describes the overall design of the magnetic refrigerator.
